Lyrical III/IV

 

Ages: 13+    Length: 1 hour 

 

Lyrical Jazz is a flowing, passionate and interpretive form of dance that can enhance a dancer’s vocabulary and add to their versatility. This class begins with a thorough warm-up emphasizing proper alignment, technique, strengthening and deep stretching. The class will then progress to movements across the floor designed to set the body in motion and to incorporate the fundamentals worked on in the warm-up. Students will then learn choreography set to various music styles with an emphasis on emotional expression, musicality and technical performance.

 

Lyrical IV / V class is an Intermediate  + level class, and Ballet or Jazz class as an enhancement to Lyrical is strongly suggested. 3+ years of dance are preferred for this class, but is open to those approved by teacher placement.
