Nelson Rodriguez

Nelson Rodriguez's first introduction to dance was in July of 2008. It soon became his primary passion. Nelson's dance studies include six count Swing, Lindy-Hop, Charleston, Blues, and Balboa.

An overall fan of music, it seemed only natural that his musical interest extend to dance. Having taken lessons from Swing/Lindy-Hop notables such as Linda and Chester Freeman, Nathan Bugh, Michael Jagger, and Carol Fraser, amongst others, Nelson pursued the art of dance with great enthusiasm. His dance skills eventually led to gigs such as teaching for Hudson Valley Community Dance, Hudson Valley Dance Depot, and currently, at the Katonah Art Center.

Nelson's goal is to help spread the joy of dance to anyone willing to learn. His desire is to cultivate a community that shares his passion.
